Jalousie Plantation Resort and Spa is a nirvana for guests inclined toward recreation, boasting a world-class spa as well as a 1,600-square-foot fitness center staffed by certified personal trainers. In addition to a tennis center under the direction of Davis Cup and Caribbean tournament champion Vernon Lewis, the resort has squash, basketball and racquetball courts, and a three hole par 3 golf course with practice putting and chipping greens.
Water sports include snorkeling, windsurfing, water-skiing, and some of the world's finest scuba diving at Jalousie Plantation's PADI approved dive center. The resort's Learning Center gives younger guests (ages 5 and up) the opportunity to study three areas of biology: rainforest, volcano, and marine through hands-on, full day sessions supervised by area experts. Baby-sitting is also available. Children 12 years and older may enjoy all forms of water sports, including water-skiing, banana rides and scuba diving (for the over 12's).
