A report issued by luxury holidays company Kuoni, suggests that taking a holiday can transform your life.
The travel operator’s research showed that most of life’s major decisions are discussed whist on holiday. 41% of those interviewed said they talked about how to improve their work/life balance. 39% of those asked said they discussed exercise and getting fit and 36% talked about their love life. Other hot topics included starting a family, changing jobs and divorce.
Luxury holidays to far flung locations seemed to be the main choice of the British public. The majority of men felt Australia was the ideal destination to make life changing decisions whereas women chose Mexico or the Caribbean.
Psychotherapist Christine Webber commented “that this report shows that having a holiday is not just about sun and leisure and visiting new exotic locations. It demonstrates that we use the vacation in order to plan improvements in our day-to-day lives”
