As the pound weakens against the euro, a leading holiday company have revealed that long haul flights currently are proving to be better value for money than European breaks.
Travellers are finding significant savings on luxury holidays as hoteliers in many 5 star resorts are slashing their prices. Destinations such as, Dubai and the Far East are proving exceptionally competitive.
With the a combination of the extremely cold weather last winter and reasonably priced long haul holidays, reports indicate there has been a significant increase in bookings for luxury holidays.
It has been suggested that 2010 could see long haul flights, in some cases, cheaper than European ones. However, it is recommended that “it’s a case of taking advantage of this trend in the short term as they will bounce back in price in most cases”.
