April in 2011 was the warmest April we’ve had on record. Bright sunshine, t-shirts, shorts and beach trips summed up the experience across most of the UK. The weather was perfect during the Easter Holidays and even beat the cliché of bank holidays always being rainy.
Since then, however, we’ve watched as the temperatures crept back down and the rain has become more and more frequent. It all culminated over the last weekend when strong winds, downpourings of rain and thunderstorms started striking across Britain. If the last three years are anything to go by this is what we can expect for the rest of the British summer, with the possible exception of a week or two during September.
So, it seems like the perfect time to look into booking a Luxury Holiday in Maldives. Although the weather might be taking a turn for the worse here you can be assured of temperatures that rarely drop below 24C and an average of eight hours of sunlight during the twelve hours of light each day, even during the wetter season between June and October.
Of course, you could plan for a winter getaway as well. The most popular season for visiting Maldives is the drier season between November and April, though you won’t find the beaches crowded or the resorts packed during this time; everything is carefully managed to ensure the islands remain perfect as luxury tourist destinations.
Whatever happens to the weather in the UK throughout the year, you can rest assured that the Maldives will provide a superb destination for your luxury holiday all year round.
