Leopard Hills

Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve traverses over 10 000 hectares in the western sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park and is approximately 500 km due east of Johannesburg.

The lodge is built on a hill overlooking a natural waterhole and the Perennial Sand River, a sanctuary for many bird species and host to wallowing hippos and basking crocodiles. From this Hilltop Sanctuary, if you listen carefully, you may be lucky enough to hear the roar of a Lion somewhere in the distance, companionless in his courage, friendless in his magnificence. Or, you may witness the reality of life and death in its fullness, as your eyes gaze into a marula tree, only to fall upon the illusive Leopard devouring the most graceful of all Antelope, the Impala.

Each of the 8 luxurious glass-fronted suites, complete with their own sundeck and rock plunge pool offer superb views of the African bushveld beyond, while air-conditioning and overhead fans provide welcome respite against the harsh African heat. The breath-taking romantic bathrooms, which include double indoor and outdoor showers, feature windows opening to a glorious view of the passing cavalcade below. Enjoy the privacy of your suite and salute the timelessness of Africa over a drink from your fully stocked mini bar. Or drift into a deep and peaceful sleep whilst enjoying a full body massage.

Early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives, in search of Africa's big game, are conducted by knowledgeable professional rangers. State-of-the-art Landrovers, specifically designed for Leopard Hills, have individual bucket seats with fold-down armrests, ensuring your optimum safety and comfort. Expect to see prides of Lion, leopard, elephant, white rhino, cheetah, wild dog, hyena and much more besides.

Location
Kruger National Park, 500km east of Johannesburg - 5 ½ hrs by road. Alternatively, fly to Kruga Mpumalanga International Airport, leaving a two hour road transfer or 25 minute flight.
