The Kingdom of Thailand is a country of incredible contrasts and beautiful scenery. From the dense jungle of the Golden Triangle in the north, passing though to the ancient ruins of civilisations lost and the vibrant capital of Bangkok at the heart of the country, to the stunning beaches of the Malay Peninsula and surrounding islands of the south, where you can enjoy resorts like Soneva Kiri, Thailand really has something for everyone.

Thailand’s climate varies greatly depending on the region. Thailand´s monsoons arrive around July and last into November (the ´rainy season´). This is followed by a dry, cooler period from November to mid-February, followed by much higher relative temperatures from March to June.

There is no real bad time to go, especially in the south, but generally speaking December to May would be considered the best time. 

 

Bangkok

Bangkok has dominated Thailand´s urban hierarchy as well as its political, commercial and cultural life since the late 18th century. Although you can shop in air-conditioned comfort in its Western-style malls, the city is a long way from being tamed by commercial homogeneity. Bangkok´s history of haphazard planning means you´ll have the best experiences in the most unlikely of places. Just when you start despairing at the predominance of concrete and cars, a waft of incense leads you to a serene temple in an area you´d written off as soulless.

Beaches

Thailand’s two coast lines and countless islands attract visitors from all corners of the world and from all walks of life. Here you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Obviously water sports are very popular, especially scuba diving with countless professional schools and fantastic dive sites.

Sight Seeing

Buddhist temples, royal palaces, vast ancient ruins, market places, natural wonders from caves to waterfalls, jungle treks, sampling delicious local food from the side of the street – with Thailand the list of things to see and do is practically endless.

Golf

Golf in Thailand is becoming ever more popular. With so many top notch courses, especially in and around Hua Hin, available to play at favourable rates it is easy to see why.
