Singita Boulders
Singita Boulders Lodge has a contemporary air of tranquillity that honours Africa in an authentic way. Inspiring the name Boulders was an enormous boulder that sat right in the middle of the place where the wine cellar was to be built. A simple decision was made to build the cellar around the boulder! Guests can enjoy wrap-around views from most parts of the natural stone lodge, and the lookout deck offers the perfect spot from which to observe wildlife drawn to the Sand River. The quiet pond alongside the thatched lounge area allows the light and the landscape inside to the wide open spaces, where straw baskets, neutral shades and textured fabrics complement wooden furniture.
Singita Boulders Lodge is made up of twelve suites, each of which has its own en suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, private heated swimming pool, double-sided fireplace, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, private lounge, direct dial telephones and game-viewing deck.
Dining at the Singita lodges is a pleasure. The gourmet game fare easily compares with the finest cuisine from around the world. Exotic venison such as springbok and ostrich meet the freshest African flavours and ingredients to craft simple, delicious food with great culinary flair. In addition to this, the Singita lodges offer spectacular bush breakfasts, al fresco meals on outstretched wooden decks, and dining indoors or under the stars in reed enclosed traditional bomas.
The main reason people come to the Singita lodges is to experience the African bushveld and all that it offers, a fact which Singita does its best to accommodate. Particular emphasis is placed on the game drive experience and everything possible is done to ensure that game drives are comfortable, informative, inspirational and memorable.
