The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort and Marina is a luxury boutique spa resort and marina development situated on the beautiful virgin island of Dhonakulhi.

Dhonakulhi Island , surrounded by the turquoise shallows of the lagoon and powdery white sands, is a haven of peace, tranquillity and serenity. The Island 's uniquely rich and dense vegetation instils a feeling of harmony and being at one with nature. Guests can choose to arrive at The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort and Marina either by a 45 minute scenic photo-flight from the international airport at Malé, the capital of the Maldives, or alternatively, by sailing their yachts directly into the island’s world-class marina - a unique facility in The Maldives.

Guests can choose from 6 types of spectacular residence at The Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort and Marina, ranging from the Funa Pavilions - 176 square meters of luxury and solitude, to the breathtakingly designed Palatial Palaces – a compound of 1420 square meters, comprising numerous pools and a private beach, that epitomizes ultimate privacy and exclusivity.

Guests may choose to dine in the privacy of their villas or savour the pleasures of the two restaurants. The sandy-floored Matheefaru Restaurant offers international and Maldivian cuisine, whilst the Gaafushi Restaurant, furnished specialises in Asian cuisine and seafood. Sandbank barbecues and beach grills are also an option, and guests may enjoy snacks and sip cocktails at the poolside Meeru bar.

The focal point of the Island is the exclusive and unique Spa (operated by the internationally renowned Mandara company), offering complete serenity, relaxation and well-being. The treatments and therapies by the highly experienced staff aim to achieve total peace and tranquillity, set in luxurious surroundings offering dramatic views of the bay and ocean.

Location
Dhonakulhi Island - 45 mins flight from Male to Hanimaadhoo domestic airport, followed by 20 minute speedboat hop.

Garden Family Villa
Positioned in the center of the island surrounded by think vegetation, creating living in jungle. Garden family villa comes with a large 2 bedroom villa complex, separate living room, outdoor garden area, with dedicated private beach space close by.

Funa Pavilion
Characterised by their own garden, a separate sleeping and living area with teak flooring, open-air bathroom and a wooden patio area facing the beach with two thickly cushioned teak sun-beds, the Funa Pavilions offer luxury over and above the call of duty. There is a round table with a two-seater sofa and two cocktail chairs in the living area with its integrated day bed and wine-red upholstery. Satellite TV, DVD and multi-format CD player has been accommodated in a separate cupboard. The bedroom has a super-king-size bed, walkin wardrobe and a writing table. The en-suite bathroom has seperate outdoor garden shower facilities.

Rambaa Retreat Villas
The elegantly rustic Raamba Retreats with their open floor-level outdoor terraces and landscaped gardens offer the perfect seclusion for a peaceful retreat. The lounge and the bedroom in the Raamba Retreats are generously spaced. The bedroom has a walk-in closet area and en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor bathing facilities and a ‘two-person’ hand-crafted bath.

Dhonakulhi Residences
The Dhonakulhi Residences are scattered along the white sandy beach-front. Each Residence has an open-plan living area with a timber deck outdoor seating. The spacious bedroom overlooks the outdoor Jacuzzi Splash Pool. In addition to the indoor and outdoor bathroom with its ‘two-person’ hand-crafted bath, there is also an Open-air Alfresco Garden Dining Pavilion and Roof Terrace. Also, Maldivian Swing (Undholi) Pavilion.

Hideaway Water Suites
The Hideaway Water Suites have their own exclusive ocean-view treatment room, sauna, steam room, outdoor round bathtub overlooking the tranquil lagoon, sundeck, lagoon access, and complete in-villa spa treatment facilities in which guests can look forward to being pampered by a team of dedicated spa specialists from Mandara Spa. A stay in these havens of peace and serenity will leave guests fresh, revitalised and rejuvenated.

Jasmine Garden Villas
The Jasmine Garden Villas sits on the beach front and has its own exclusive 9.5 metre by 4 metre private Infinity Swimming Pool and garden area. Entrance to the Jasmine Garden Villas is through a Maldivian-style courtyard garden, leading to a spacious lounge overlooking the swimming pool. The bedroom has a walk-in closet area and en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor bathing facilities and a ‘two-person’ hand-crafted bath. There is also a separate guest toilet and shower room across the lounge. Guests may intimately dine in their Open-air Alfresco ‘Floating’ Dining Pavilion situated on a ‘mini-island’ that floats on top of the pool or, alternatively, on the romantic Roof Terrace. Hideaway Palace
Breathtaking in their design, the Hideaway Palaces are the epitome of privacy and exclusivity. Ideal for the more discerning guests, the Hideaway Palace houses individual pavilions for living area, master bedroom, 2 guest rooms and a dining pod. The private beach area is adjacent to the beautiful natural sandbank. The Hideaway Palace comprises of five exclusive individual Villas which sit on top of a beautiful timber deck and are surrounded by a number of private Infinity Swimming Pools, giving an impression that they are floating on water.
